Stream Sirius to iPhone 3G

Today Millard Software was forced to stop all development of uSirius and remove the program from their website, So I have posted a zip of the program at the bottom on my page. I Hope You Enjoy!

Got http://www.orb.com download the orb client, create an orb account and launch the orb client on your pc. Make sure that the orb client icon is green on the taskbar.

Now launch uSirius, put in your username and password under settings. Then hit start and make sure uSirius logs in to sirius.

Open your browser and goto orb.com and sign in, look for the button on the top left hand side that reads "Open Application" then select "AUDIO" it should take you to the Internet Radio *Favorite Channels.

You are now going to create a Custom Channel, next to the "Open Application" button you will see "Record" "Add Custom" and "Delete". Select "Add Custom".

On the popup enter the name of the channel such as "Sirius Hits 1" on the "PATH" you have to go back to uSirius and click the "URLs" button, a new window will come up and you can select the channel from the drop down. Pick Sirius 1 - SIRIUS Hits 1, below the description you will see the url for that channel, like this :

"mms://192.168.0.100:19080/streams/stream?bandwidth=high&num=1&r=1194623027"

This url will be what you copy and paste in the "PATH" in the "Add Custom Channel" window on the browser.

IMPORTANT

As you notice the url from uSirius says "mms://192.168.0.100" however the ip 192.168.x.x can not be forwarded on the internet, so you have to replace it with the public ip address you got from http://www.whatismyip.com/.

Your path should look like this: ""mms://PUBLICIP:19080/streams/stream?bandwidth=high&num=1&r=1194623027"

Click the "Submit" button and you now have a channel setup.

Now install orb from the app store or on your iphone launch Safari, browse to http://www.orb.com. Then click "AUDIO" scroll down to internet radio favorites and you should see your new channel.

Today, I have some sad news.
By the time you read this, many of you already know that uSirius StarPlayr for the iPhone project has been retired.
Unfortunately, the same is being done to the standalone uSirus and uXM PC applications. Effective immediately, March 8th, 2009, both applications have been discontinued and will no longer be available for download. I regret having to do so, but it is in the best interest of Millard Software.
I started working on uSirius and uXM back in December 2006. The goal was simple -- bring satellite radio to uPnP devices. Since that time, uSirius and uXM, (with TVersity and ORB) has enabled tech savvy fans to enjoy satellite radio on almost every major cellphone, game console, and media device.
In May of 2008, a uSirius fan encouraged me to develop Sirius and XM native iPhone applications. I had never done any OS X programming before so I was up for the challenge. Early in June, uSirius and uXM were released for jailbroken iPhones running 1.1.4 firmware.
In December, NiceMac LLC contacted me to see if I would consider a joint effort between uSirius and StarPlayr. The result of that two month effort, uSirius StarPlayr, is without a doubt the proudest accomplishment in my professional career.
With that said, I would like to thank everyone who has supported uSirius, uXM, and uSirius StarPlayr. If you were a beta tester or just a fan, your comments, emails, support, and donations have been extremely appreciated.
In closing, if anyone is looking for an iPhone developer to work on a project unrelated to satellite radio, please feel free to contact me.

Blackberry Pearl with Color Ball !!!



Well after I got my new HTC TYTN I decided to take apart my old Blackberry Pearl and saw that there were little color LED’s on the motherboard, from there I decided to find a way to activate them. All you have to do is install the ColorPearl patch file (located at the bottom of my page) with the blackberry application manager and then to enable/disable and set the color, go to Options then ColorPearl.



HTC s621 Transformed into a Unlocked T-Mobile Dash Running WM6!


Well after waiting for a HTC s621 WM6 upgrade that never came I decided to mod my s621 to install the leaked copy of WM6 for the T-Mobile Dash. At first i downloaded the T-Mobile Dash WM6 Upgrade and then began to try and flash the Rom with the T-Mobile Dash upgrade and time after time I got a (Vendor ID Error) which had me puzzled for sometime but after some research I then found that the (Vendor ID Error) is a result of the CID lock which limits the firmware upgrade you can install.

How to Set Resolution to Widescreen 1280x768x16

If your screen resolution is not ok then do the following: Press F8 when you boot OS X and then write “?video” this will show you all the possible resolutions. For example that you want 1280×768x16 then again in the boot write “Graphics Mode”=” 1280×768x16” and if everything goes well and your computer boots with the right resolution, you have to add it to “com.apple.boot.plist” to make it permanent. Now how you edit com.apple.boot.plist; First of all you need to back it up; you can find it in ‘/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration’. From there copy it in a backup location. Open terminal and type: sudo -s cd /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration pico com.apple.boot.plist There you add this after the other options: <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1280×768x16 </string> Then CTRL+O to save it CTRL+X to exit. Another way to edit it is to copy it in your desktop open it with ‘textedit’ and there you add this: <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1280×768x16 </string> Save it and then copy paste it in ‘/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration’ so as to replace it (it will ask for administrator password).




Here is how to get the touch scroll and tapping fixed.

Installation:

1. Download the ApplePS2Trackpad[1].kext.tar file below to your favorite location
2. Un-archive the files. This will leave you with a ApplePS2Trackpad[1].kext.tar
3. Navigate to: /System/Library/Extensions/ 4. (Optional) Backup your old ApplePS2Trackpad[1].kext.tar
5. Copy (drag-n-drop) the new bundle into the Extensions folder
6. When the dialog box pops up, select authenticate and type your admin password
7. Reboot

Download the (ApplePS2Trackpad[1].kext.tar) from below, extract it with stuff it or similar.
In a terminal, go to the directory where you extracted it.
# sudo ./install.sh
it will autoload and start working directly after reboot

How to Set Resolution to Widescreen
Modify the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file:
sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Scroll down to the portion entitle Section “Screen“, and change all instances of this:
Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
to this:
Modes "1280x768" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
Save the file.
Restart the X server (Press Ctrl-Alt-Backspace) And you should now be in 1280x768 Resolution

How to Getting Sound Working

Open Volume Control, go to Preferences, and select all tracks to be visible.
Then go to the Switches tab, and UNCHECK External Amplifier.
